My husband and I went here for the first time and I have nothing but great things to say! The food was delicious! Simple but delicious, I had the roasted cauliflower and the drink was a royal passion. Highly recommend! The service is attentive but not overbearing, which is great so I can celebrate my husband's birthday in peace. The atmosphere is beyond wonderful! Like I said, our experience here was amazing!

Loved loved loved the drinks, the food and the vibe!! Get NYC speakeasy experience in a small town like of CT. Well thought craft cocktails and greattt choice of Tapas. Please try to visit on weekdays and before 6:30 pm on weekends.

Great drinks and very good food. A little louder than I would have expected, but I think that was because of when we came (bartender competition). Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Great drinks, food and service! I ordered the riot riot and then the ya Tu sabe drinks. Also shared the American sliders and truffle tater tots. I loved the atmosphere here. No TVs on or loud music bumping. The lights were dim and it set a good mood!

Cozy spot with a great vibe, hidden in downtown New Britain. The hidden bookcase door daily code is vintage speakeasy. The food is good, with a nice variety of faire. Their is a small dessert menu; the Tres Leche is delicious. They have a good cocktail menu to go with a mix of spirits to choose from. Pricing is good. Your final bill/tab will depending on your food and drink (mid or top-shelf) choices. The owner and staff are great. They are always attentive and personable. The decor is vintage and eclectic. The mood lighting be music help create a relaxed atmosphere and ambiance.

Went here to celebrate one of my girl friend's birthday and the ambiance did not disappoint. Didn't quite know what to expect and reserved a table just in case. When we arrived, a reservation was honestly not needed, but the $50 required for the reservation was used towards the bill, so that was very helpful. Food was very delicious! And our waiter/bartender was very accommodating. Highly recommend this speakeasy!

So I got so much to say about this place! I had wanted to see a spot with my friends recently that was in Connecticut & one of them knew about this location! You have to check their instagram for their door code.. which I think is pretty unique. Anyways, you step inside- IMMEDIATELY get the speakeasy vibe! It’s such a cute environment. I think the only complaint i have about it is it can be a BIT too dark to read the menus but everything else was great from their modern/gothic color scheme. It was comfortable seating too. Plenty of spots to sit whether it’s booth or table. The drinks were amazing!! I have a slight aversion to alcohol but I didn’t even taste it in the first drink. It was so subtle but masterfully crafted. I loved it. Even tasting their other drinks was SO fun. You MUST try more than one drink if you come. Food wasn’t perfect but OVERALL? Pretty good for a bar/environment with a major focus on drinks. I think they have a decent menu. Can be a bit pricey but I say try it! The bartenders/waiters were pretty chill & made sure we had a good time. Definitely check this place out!

My brother raved about this speakeasy and when I finally could visit with him, I loved it. Need to get a passcode to enter the street door, and then enter through a bookcase. Fun and nicely executed hidden features that lead you into a sleek and refined decorated space. Lots of seating options: bar, booths, lounge, etc. We always choose the comfy sofas and chairs. The service is fantastic, cocktail creations top notch, and great food. I recommend the scallops if you aren't allergic. Must visit, been here 3 times now...and I live in PA!

What a fun night! Came here with a couple of girlfriends. Started at the little lounge area, but soon took the party to the bar when we ran into another yelpie! Don't let the outside of this place fool you because looks are definitely deceiving. We were cautious coming to this place due to the appearance of the outside, but once we were in it was so much fun. Agus, aka rawbartender, was Ah-mazing and truly made the night fun. He was truly such a vibe!! I ordered the SpongeBob, which was Goslings rum, pineapple spice, ginger, lime, angostura bitters. Especially with the show that was put on, my drink tasted even better. It was a Smokey, yet smooth and refreshing drink! We also got the Snow White, on the sweeter side made with Pear vodka, orgeat, pear juice, lemon juice, cinnamon. And of course, we can't forget our schooling in tequila and Mezcal from Agus. He was very informative of what he was serving and we tried a few different shots. He gave us the rundown of how you're actually supposed to taste tequila. And I have to say I've never had an experience like that before. I wish the party didn't stop and I will definitely be coming back specifically for Agus and of course the drinks!
